US Open
LIV Golf has been overshadowing things of late. But I did enjoy watching Rory win The Canadian Open.

Some of the LIV boys are teeing up. Crowd will be vocal and the course tough. Think it's wide open. Usual few ew for value (10 places).

Sam Burns 25/1

Niemann 33/1

Power 90/1

Zalatoris 28/1

Re: US Open
The JP McManus Pro Am. how does JP do it? persuade all the top players in the World to turn up and raise a shit load of cash for charities. Now being picked up by SKY etc with sell out crowds.

Re: US Open
Always nice to see an Englishman win a major (a proper Englishman too, not a plastic one like Justin Rose), but it doesn't detract from the fact that golf is as boring as fuck to watch as a spectator 'sport'.

Re: US Open
He stayed with the same family from when he won the US amateur in 2013. That combined with knowing the course well meant he seemed quite relaxed yesterday.

Hitting 17 out of 18 GIR on a sunday is outstanding for anyone, let alone someone chasing their first major. The bunker shot on 18 will be replayed for years.

Will be backing Zalatoris for the Open, seems to have sorted his putter out and will convert one of these oppourtunities eventually.

Re: US Open

The sensible bet is Fitzpatrick who won the amateur championship on the Open course and has been in very good form recently. He's just so dull and rarely contends for the win on Day 4 in spite of his regular top 10/20 finishes.

So much for that. I went for Power when Ancer withdrew. Should’ve taken my own advice.

Re: US Open
I cant see past the top 3 in the betting of Rory, JT and Scottie..... all playing well and on their day no one else gets close this season.

My EW punts will be Fitzpatrick, Homa and Zalatoris.

Pretty fucking good darts there, stayed up to watch it last night was fantastic watch with top 2 battling it out and Scheffler pushing at the hole in front. Glad for Fitzpatrick, great story to win there again. Zalatoris will win a few majors, the kid is mustard.

I know Martin, just joking. We might have a decent team for the next Ryder Cup with some of these players growing in stature

Nerves of steel over the final few holes from Fitzpatrick there. He seems like a right decent bloke and it was wonderful to see. Well done Matty! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I thought zalatoris had that putt. Well done Matt. Seems a nice bloke and family. Must Google the Irish link with a name like that 😁

Re: US Open
If Woods had played That bunker shot would be played a million times!

Hit it over the grandstand and bent it back.

Well done young man.

Billy Foster also gets lots of credit. Best caddie in world

Great scenes at the end there - made up for Fitzpatrick, seems a real genuine bloke. And the yanks will hate it!

Re: US Open
Delighted for him. Superb performance and a lovely little stat that he joins Nicklaus as the only people to have won the US amateur and the US Open on the same course.
You don't have to hit it miles

Re: US Open
Different class that, pure adrenalin.

The 75 notes would have been nice, but I think this will be better.

Fucking love English/British players winning the US based majors.

In fact any European is always nice and gets me up the the ryder cup.
